Clever Lily from our Brisbane store team has self-drafted these fabulous voluminous pants in our motif print washed blue linen/viscose blend! See the silhouette and details from Lily below.

Lily says "I self drafted these pants and they are so easy to do. I was super inspired by the huge 80's parachute pants that are generally done in a taffeta or otherwise crunchy fabric. I still wanted that voluminous magical look but to make it casual, so I went with the delicious linen rayon blend fabric. I am more of an intuitive sewer, so I let my heart guide my scissors, if you’re not comfortable with winging it you can always refer to pants you already have for the crotch/waistband shape."

"I chose to forgo the side seams because I wanted the print to be uninterrupted. I used the entire width of the fabric and at the top corners, cut out the crotch seam and sewed the selvedge’s together, leaving me with only the inseam. I chose to gather the waist onto a facing because I prefer that smooth look, and I elasticated around the ankles for more versatility with length. Overall, super easy pattern with minimal wastage."
